Dhritishman gives the fifth medal to Assam

GUWAHATI: Assam added another medal in their tally through Dhritishman Goswami in the National Junior Athletics Championship in Guwahati today. Dhritishman won a bronze medal in the high jump event (U-16) covering a distance of 1.86m. It was the fifth medals for Assam in the championship. Haryana is leading the medal tally on day IV with 17 gold, 15 silver, and 10 bronze. Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh are in second and third spots respectively.

The closing function of the meet would be held tomorrow at the Indira Gandhi Athletics Stadium. Union Sports Minister KirenRijiju will attend the function as chief guest.
