District Level Chess tournament begins

PALIN: MLA of 18 Palin Chambang constituency Takam Pario on Monday declared the 2nd District Level Chess Tournament of Kra Daadi District open amidst the participants along with the DPC of the district Biri Tach at new palin.

Altogether 39 chess players including two female players are taking the part in the meet.

Pario encouraging the chess lovers and highlighted them about the benefits of the sport which keeps mind healthy. He said that Chess game is not confined to children and youth but an elderly person can also play it at leisure time which is good for mind.

“One should be dedicated and sincere to their choice of game which will no doubt yield a good future for the individual as state government has various quota of job reserved for the sportsman,” he said.

In the meantime Pario wished all young and veterans players of the district to play fair and win for the reorganization of district Kra Daadi which was recently curved as new district of the state.

Meanwhile, the guest of honor Biri Tach who is also government officer encouraged the chess lovers to not give up any challenging events which itself is benefits for individuals as well as for state as whole.
