Don Bosco High School qualify for 2nd round of Pulin Das Memorial Inter-School Cricket

GUWAHATI: Don Bosco High School qualified for the 2nd round of the Pulin Das Memorial Inter-School Cricket (Tinsukia Zone) defeating New High School (A) by 2 wickets in the final held at Tinsukia yesterday. Elected to bat, New High School bowled out 140 in 23.3 overs. Vishal Gupta (57) scored a half-century. Don Bosco High School took 27.3 overs to reach the target. Sabab Ali of winning team adjudged man of the final award for his all-round performance in the game where he took 2-25 and scored 25 runs. Vishal Gupta (New High School,168 runs in 3 matches) and Ankit Thakur (Don Bosco,11 wickets) adjudged Best Batsman and Best Bowler awards. Most Promising Player award was adjudged to Vicky Prasad (KV). The 2nd round of the meet would be held at Charaideo from March 19.

The closing function of the meet was attended by the secretary of the Assam Cricket Association Devajit Saikia, Treasurer Tridib Konwar, District Sports Officer (Tinsukia) Pranjal Dehingia, along with several officials of the TDSA.
