Eleven Stars Club win Bodoland Martyrs’ Gold Cup

Kokrajhar: Eleven Stars Club of Bongaigaon lifted the 20th Bodoland Martyrs’ Gold Cup Football Championship trophy at Banargaon today defeating Baarhoongkha Athletic Club of Kokrajhar by a solitary goal. The all important goal was scored by Thanel Singh.

The champion trophy along with cash Rs 1 lakh was handed over by the Minister of Soil Conservation and Social Welfare Pramila Rani Brahma while Runners up a trophy and cash Rs. 50,000 was given away by the EM of Sports and Youth Welfare, BTC Doneswar Goyary.

Ajanta Rabha of Bongaigaon Eleven Stars Club was adjudged as the Best Player award. The trophy and cash Rs. 5000 was given away by the Commandant of the 7 APB. MM Boro.

It may be mentioned that Eleven Stars Club of Bongaigaon entered the final defeating OIL, Duliajan while Baarhoongkha Athletic Club of Kokrajhar entered the final by defeating ASEB, Guwahati.
