GUWAHATI: India will take on England in the final game of Women T20I Series at the ACA stadium, Barsapara here tomorrow. The match will begin at 11 AM.

England, already took 2-0 inaccessible lead, will look to clean sweep the India while the hosts will tried to finish this series on a winning note.

After winning the ODI series 2-1, India’s batswomen put in a poor showing in the first two T20Is. The side lost the first game by 41 runs and the second one by five wickets. The defeat in the second T20I was India’s sixth in a row in the shortest format.

In both the matches Indian batswomen failed to perform well which were the reasons behind the big defeats. Harmanpreet Kaur, the regular T20 captain, has not yet recovered from injury and stand-in skipper opener Smriti Mandhana failed to shine with the bat. Indian captain Smriti Mandhana is very unhappy on team’s bating. “Our batters need to step up and give a good total for our bowlers to defend,” she said.

Indian team today take a break from the net session and visited Kamakhya temple to offer prayer. England, however, had gone to their regular net session today.
