Former cricketer Abhinab Bora passes away in Nagaon

GUWAHATI: Former cricketer Abhinab Bora passed away after prolonged illness at Nagaon on Sunday. He was 52 and left behind wife and son.

Bora, a resident of Panigaon at Nagaon, represented the district cricket team on several occasions and also led the side. Later he served as the cricket secretary of the Nagaon Sports Association from 2011-2019.

Assam Cricket Association has mourned the death of Abhinab. In a message the president Romen Dutta and secretary Devajit Saikia expressed shock and grief on the news. The association also shared deep sorrow and sympathy with the family members.
