Former Cricketer of North Lakhimpur Tilak Bhuyan Passes Away

LAKHIMPUR: Tilak Bhuyan, a social activist and former cricketer of North Lakhimpur breathed his last in the wee hours of Monday night after suffering from a two-month-long illness. He was the son of late Minakanta Bhuyan & Mina Bhuyan and permanent resident of Garehaga Maibelia village under the Azad area of Lakhimpur district. He was 53.
He excelled in cricket and took part in various competition event on behalf of different cricket teams of the district during his youth stage. Tilak Bhuyan, who was a businessman by profession, was associated with various social activities until his demise. He was survived by his mother, wife, a son, two brothers and a sister along with a host of relatives. A pall of grief cast in the locality at his demise which was mourned by several individuals and institutions.
