Former Lakhimpur Cricket Association treasurer Pritpal Singh passes away

GUWAHATI: Former treasurer of Lakhimpur Cricket Association as well as sports organizer Pritpal Singh, passed away yesterday. He was 69 and left a wife & a son. Pritpal was associated with the Lakhimpur Cricket Association for 15 long years (1986-2001) and showed great dedication & transparency in his work. The secretary of the Lakhimpur Cricket Association Sujit Chowdhury condoled the death of Pritpal. In a message, he said, "Death of Singh has left a huge void in the cricket field of the region."

Chowdhury conveyed the deepest condolence to his family and relatives on behalf of LCA.

President of Assam Cricket Association Romen Dutta and secretary Devajit Saikia deeply condoled the death of Singh along with the secretary of Veteran Cricket Association of Assam Nasir Gul Khan.

Flag of Lakhimpur Cricket Association remained half-mast for three days as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
