Former Ranji cricketer Madhab Talukdar no more
Former Ranji Cricketer Madhab Talukdar passed away at his residence in the city today. He was 87 and left behind two daughters.

GUWAHATI: Former Ranji Cricketer Madhab Talukdar passed away at his residence in the city today. He was 87 and left behind two daughters.
Talukdar made debut for Assam in Ranji trophy in 1956-57 season against Bengal. He represented Assam for 13 occasions in Ranji Trophy.
The president and the secretary of the Assam Cricket Association Romen Dutta and Devajit Saikia respectively expressed their deep shock and grief at the tragic news of passing away of former cricketer. Veteran Cricket Association of Assam along with Guwahati Cricket coaching Centre and Assam Kho Kho Association also mourned the death of Talukdar. It may be mentioned here that Talukdar was the founder member of the Veteran Cricket Association of Assam.
