Gauhati Town Club storm into final in Assam Premier Club Championship

GUWAHATI: Radial Club of Nagaon will face Gauhati Town Club (GTC) in the final of the Assam Premier Club Championship. Gauhati Town Club booked the berth in the final thrashing Cricket Club of Dibrugarh by 10 wickets in the second semifinal held at the ACA stadium here today.

Chasing 106 runs to win GTC needed just 18 overs to reach home. Both the openers Avijit Singha Roy and Erik Roy remained unbeaten at 47 (4X7) and 45 (4X5) runs respectively.

Earlier, Cricket Club of Dibrugarh, invited to bat, were bowled out 105 in 40.5 overs. Jyotiraditya Chetia (28) and Yasir Ali (22) were the major contributors. Among the bowlers of GTC Amit Boro and Bikash Chetry picked up four wickets and three wickets respectively.
