Green Valley trounces Town Club in RG Baruah Super Division Football League

GUWAHATI: FC Green Valley bounced back in the RG Baruah Super Division Football League and defeated Gauhati Town Club 5-1 at the Nehru Stadium here today. Jirsar Terong opened the scoring in the 24th minute after a series of attacks. Dorjee Wangchu (27') and Samson Nagrum (40') scored two more goals for Green Valley in the first half. The second half witnessed three more goals two of which were scored by Green Valley through Lalthangiana. Rahul Gogoi pulled one back for Gauhati Town Club. This is Green Valley's second win in five matches and for Gauhati Town club it was their fourth defeat in the League.
