GSA plans to host Bordoloi Trophy in March

GUWAHATI: Gauhati Sports Association (GSA) is planning to host the next edition of Bordoloi Trophy in the third week of March. The final decision in this regard will be taken in its next working committee meeting which is scheduled to be held on February 12.

The secretary of the GSA Dhrubajyoti Kalita informed The Sentinel that due to the present COVID-19 situation it was very difficult to announce the date of the competition right now. "If the situation permits we would host the event from the third week of March. However the matter would be discussed in the next Working Committee meeting and the date of the Bordoloi Trophy will also be finalized in it," said Kalita

The secretary also added: "GSA decided to conduct its various tournaments from February. It will begin with the qualifying round for the 'C' Division Football League. Altogether 23 teams will participate in this competition which will be held in Lokhra. The meet would be followed by 'A' Division and 'B' Division Cricket League. 'A' division cricket League will kick off in the last part of March.
