GTC Chess Grand Prix 2022-2023 was held at the Guwahati Town Club

Nalinakhya Kashyap, bagged 3.5 points from 4 rounds, lifted the title in the open category. In the Under-15 category Shubram Bhattacharya emerged champion collecting 4.5 points from 5 rounds.

GUWAHATI: The 12th edition of the GTC Chess Grand Prix 2022-2023 was held at the Guwahati Town Club premises on Sunday. A total of 90 players from across the state participated in the day-long event organized by the GTC Chess Foundation. The competition was held in three categories: Under-9, Under-15 and Open. Nalinakhya Kashyap, bagged 3.5 points from 4 rounds, lifted the title in the open category. In the Under-15 category Shubram Bhattacharya emerged champion collecting 4.5 points from 5 rounds. In the Under-9 category Saraswat Deka won the title with five points from the same number of rounds.
