Guwahati Chess Academy: Nalinakhya wins Sunday chess title

GUWAHATI: The Sunday Rapid Chess Tournament, organized by the Guwahati Chess Academy, held at the Academy’s premises in the city today, Nalinakhya Kashyap, remained unbeaten throughout the tournament and scored 5.5 points from 6 rounds, clinched the title. Prakash Nath got second position by scoring 5 points from same number of rounds. Atharva Mahanta, Shuvang Pran Kashyap and Nibhriti Goswami also scored 5 points each but they were declared third, fourth and fifth respectively on the basis of tie-break score. Navishta Hazarika was named best girl of the tournament. She scored 4 points from 6 rounds.
