Gyan, Shankar Academy register win at Cricket Tournament

GUWAHATI: Gyan Educational Institutions and Srimanta Shankar Academy registered victory in the 13th All Assam Mrigen Sarma Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament held at the Latasil ground here today.

In the first match, Gyan Educational Institutions defeated Modern English High School by 39 runs. In the other match, Srimanta Shankar Academy won against Mangal Chandi Hindi school by 6 wickets.

Brief scores: 1st match- Gyan Educational Institutions 175/7 (20 Overs), Jeevan Jha 43, Kuldeep Basfore 35, Krishn Kant Singh 4/45, Herokh Kalita 2/21, Modern 136 (18.2 Overs), Anil Basfor 42, Nikesh Patel 23, Saurav Giri 2/12, Aditya Sinha 2/15.

2nd match: MCHH School 86/7 (15 Overs), Rohit Singh 29, Kingsukh Roy 2/12, Priyanjan Sarmah 2/16, Shrimanta Shankar 88/4 (10.1 Overs), Piyush Jyoti Goswami 49 Rihan Zama 19, Manish Rai 2/28.
