GUWAHATI: Ace sprinter of India Hima Das dedicated her upgraded gold medal of 2018 Asian Games to the police, doctors and all other Corona warriors who are working selflessly to ensure safety and good health to the people of the country.
It may be mentioned here that the Indian 4x400m mixed relay team's silver medal in the 2018 Asian Games has been upgraded to gold following the disqualification of original winners Bahrain on account of a doping ban handed to one of its runners.
Reacting on the news Hima in her twitter account said, "I am really happy that our silver medal of 4X400mixed relay team at the Asian Games 2018 upgraded to Gold. I congratulate my teammates. Later she also added: "I would like to dedicate my upgraded gold medal to police, doctor and all other Corrona warriors who are working selflessly in these difficult times of COVID-19 to ensure our safety and good health."
