Indu Hazarika Memorial U-19 Inter-District School Soccer begins in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Indu Hazarika Memorial U-19 Inter-District School Football got underway in the city today. The championship is inaugurated by the president of the Assam Sports Journalists’ Association Subodh Malla Baruah in presence of Dharmakanta Mili, the Director of the Sports and Youth Welfare. Altogether 33 teams are taking part in the meet which is being held in three venues-Nehru stadium, Tapesia Sports Complex and Sarusajai Sports complex. In the opening day, several teams included Barpeta, Dhemaji, Baksa, Golaghat, Goalpara, and Jorhat, advanced to the next round of the competition.
