Inter-District Roll Ball Championship: Pragjyotishpur and Nalbari clinch titles

GUWAHATI: Pragjyotishpur and Nalbari emerged champion in the women and men categories in the 2nd Senior Inter-District Roll Ball Championship concluded in the city on Sunday. The tournament, organized by the Guwahati Roll Ball Association, took place at the Rudra Singha Roll Ball ground.

In a fiercely contested men’s final, Nalbari secured a hard-fought victory against Kamrup (M) with a close score of 12-11. Meanwhile, in the battle for the bronze medal, Guwahati defeated Tinsukia convincingly with a score line of 11-5. The women’s final witnessed Pragjyotishpur demonstrating their dominance as they defeated Guwahati with a commanding score of 5-1, securing the championship title. In the bronze medal match, Kamrup (M) prevailed over Nalbari with a score of 3-1. During the awards ceremony several dignitaries including Deepak Nath, the President of Guwahati Roll Ball Association, Priyotanu Baruah, Bhumidhar Barman, and Suman Deka and also presented the awards.
