Inter District School Boxing Begins At The SAI Sports

GUWAHATI: The Inter District School boxing Championship got underway at the SAI Sports complex here today. Altogether 222 boxers from 19 districts are taking part in 3-day meet in two age categories – U-14 boys and U-17 boys and girls. The inaugural function was attended by Lakhya Konwar, Member Secretary of the State Level Advisory Committee for Student and Youth Welfare, as chief guest. Other dignitaries present on this occasion were veteran sports organizer Swapnanil Baruah, Director of SAI (NERC) Subhash Basumatary and president of the Assam Boxing Association Kalikanta Boro.
