ISL: NorthEast United FC release coach Robert Jarni

GUWAHAI: NorthEast United FC released its coach Robert Jarni and his coaching Staff after their last game at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium here yesterday. The poor performance of the team in ISL is considered as the prime reason behind the decision.

NorthEast United FC, played in the knock out stage last season, are struggling this year and already out from the title race. Local outfit played 15 matches till date in this edition of the League and are placed at 9th place with 13 points.

NorthEast United FC in a release had confirmed that the club has parted ways with Head Coach Robert Jarni and his coaching Staff through mutual under standing.

The release said, “NorthEast United FC would hereby like to confirm that the club has parted ways with head coach Robert Jarni and his coaching staff through mutual agreement.

The decision has been taken keeping in mind the best interests of the club and our recent performances in the ISL.”

It also added: Assistant coach Khalid Jamil will take over as the interim coach until the club identifies a suitable replacement.
