Khelo India University Games: Barnali Bora from Assam wins bronze

GUWAHATI: Assam weightlifter Barnali Bora clinched bronze medal in the 49kg category in the Khelo India University Games in Noida on Tuesday. Barnali, representing Yogi Women University, Tamil Nadu, lifted 68 kg in snatch and 92kg in clean and jerk and 160 kg overall. In the boys recurve event of archery Production Basumatary of Bodoland University entered into the knockout stage bagging third position in the qualifying round. However another archer of Bodoland University Samaina Basumatary, participated in the compound round, bowing out from the meet in knockout stage. Differently abled athlete Anyatam Rajkumar also bowed out in the rowing where he took part in 500mts event. Anyatam represented Cotton University in the Games.
