Lakshmipat Singhania Academy Wins CBSE Far East Zone Chess Championship 2018 Title

GUWAHATI: The CBSE Far East Zone Chess Championship 2018 concluded at Royal Global School here today. Lakshmipat Singhania Academy of Kolkata became the overall Champion while South Point School, Kolkata finished runner-up. DAV Public School Cuttack Odisha bagged second runner-up.

Altogether 268 players from 49 schools participated in this three-day event organized under the aegis of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and hosted by Royal Global School.

The Closing Ceremony was attended by Principal of Royal Global School Anubha Goyal, CBSE Observer Santanu Ghosh, Head of Sports of Royal Global School Ashok Talukdar and Vice President of All Assam Chess Association M Arun Singh.
