Lohit Dikrong register second win of the Subroto Cup Junior Girls Inter School International Football
In the Group D match Assam outfit defeated Pinegrove School, Solan, Himachal Pradesh 4-1.
GUWAHATI: Lohit Dikrong HSS, Lakhimpur secured their second straight wins in the group stage matches of the Subroto Cup Junior Girls (U-17) Inter School International Football Tournament played at Subroto Park Football Ground in Delhi on Thursday.
In the Group D match Assam outfit defeated Pinegrove School, Solan, Himachal Pradesh 4-1. Junali Sen opened the account for Lohit Dikrong in the 8th minute and she also scored another goal in the 58th minute of the match. Oiseng Pegu and Dolley Gogoi were the other scorers for Assam school.
In the other match of the day, Govt Secondary School, Monigong, Shi-Yomi, Arunachal Pradesh came away with their second win, beating DNRM GGHSS, Poonch, Jammu & Kashmir 11-0. Yani Young thumped in seven goals for the Arunachal side. At the Tejas Football Ground, Saiden Secondary School, Nongpoh, Meghalaya beat Kendriya Vidyalaya IMA, Dehradun, Uttarakhand 4-0 in a Group G encounter.
