Madhurjya Barua nominated as senior Vice President of Jodhpur badminton body

MANGALDAI: Former badminton star Madhurjya Barua has been nominated as the honorary Senior Vice President of Jodhpur District Badminton Association (JDBA) in Rajasthan. Honorary Secretary of JDBA Kapil K Gupta in a letter has informed him that the JDBA unanimously decided to nominate him as the Honorary Senior Vice President of the JDBA which was also specially approved by Union Minister of Jal Shakti cum the Chairman of JDBA Gajendra Singh shekhawat. The JDBA also hoped that Madhurjya Barua would play a key role for the betterment of Badminton not only in Jodhpur but also in the entire state of Rajasthan. Presently Madhurjya Barua has been serving as the Deputy General Manager (Administration) of Oil India Limited in Jodhpur.

In a telephonic talk with The Sentinel on Thursday evening Madhurjya Barua expressed his happiness to get involved with the Badminton in Jodhpur through JDBA. Meanwhile, as per the guidance and advice of Madhurjya Barua eight numbers of Badminton Academies in private sector in Jodhpur have come up for the training and practice of Badminton.
