Mohammedan SC lift Bodoland Martyrs’ Gold Cup

Kokrajhar: Mohammedan Sporting Club of Kolkata lifted the 19th Bodoland Martyrs Gold Cup trophy by defeating OIL, Duliajan via tie breaker in the final at Kokrajhar District Sports Association (KDSA) on Sunday night.

Both the team played in a brilliant way and ended goalless in schedule time. Later, in the tie break, Mohammedan SC won the championship.

The championship trophy along with cash Rs 1 lakh was handed over by the State Cabinet Minister Pramila Rani Brahma while the Runners up trophy and cash Rs 50,000 was handed over by the EM of BTC, Sports and Youth Welfare Doneswar Goyary. The best player trophy to Helip Adza of Mohammedan hailed from Ghana was handed over by the EM of BTC Rajib Brahma. The prize distribution ceremony was also attended by the president of Assam Football Association Henendranath Brahma.
