Mrinmoy Rajkhowa to play in World Cadet Chess

GUWAHATI: Mrinmoy Rajkhowa of Assam will represent India in the forthcoming FIDE World Cadet Chess Championship – 2018 (Under – 08 Boys Category ) to be held at Santiago de Compostela, Spain from November 3.

Mrinmoy has been selected in the Indian team as he had secured 3rd position in the National Under 7 Chess Championship 2017 and had also represented India in the FIDE Asian Cadet Chess Championship – 2018 (Under – 08 Boys Category ) held at Thailand this year.

Mrinmoy is undergoing training under FIDE Instructors Nandan Buragohain and Biswajit Bharadwaj at Assam Chess Club for the last three years and is a class III student of Sudershan Public School Guwahati.
