North East Open Tournament in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: Under the banner of Golaghat Basketball Club, the North East Open (Men's) Basketball Tournament started on January 9 at Golaghat Basketball Court. The tournament was inaugurated by Golaghat District Sports Association general secretary Sanjib Handique. Total eleven teams have participated in the tournament. A special booklet was also unveiled on the occasion. The booklet was unveiled by former international level footballer Herold Sangma. In the inaugural match Shillong SYM beat Sibsagar D Squad by 14-8 points.
