Hima: Look, we are still not sure when the Tokyo Olympics will begin. We are now just focusing on the training to improve our skills. Right now all the probable of Indian team are competing with each other to earn a berth in the team.

TS: Injury troubled you a lot in the recent past. Hope you have recovered well…

Hima: Right now there is no fitness problem for me. I am fully fit. I take this opportunity to give thanks to all the doctors and trainers who helped me to get back into the track.

TS: Share your plans before the Olympics.

Hima: Run, run, run … now this is my goal. Even if you tell me to run 1000 m I am ready. I am working hard to regain fitness quickly and at the same time I want to participate in competitions as much as possible.

TS: Recently a series of steps has been taken by the Central Government to change the scenario of sports in the country. Your comment.

Hima: Yes. It's right. Time to time I got the opportunity to speak with our Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju sir who included me in the Fit India movement. Nice to see that a lot of work is going on to support talented athletes, even from the remote part of the country, and that too by arranging training at their localities. This is a really very good step.
