OILFC Lift Bordoloi Trophy Football Title Defeating ASEBSC

GUWAHATI: OILFC lifted the 66th Bordoloi Trophy Football title defeating Assam State Electricity Board Sports Club (ASEBSC) 5-2, via tie break, in the final held at the Nehru Stadium here today. The schedule time of the game ended 2-2 draw.

ASEBSC took early lead in the game when Jwmbla Brahma scored the goal from a brilliant attack. OILFC got the equalizer just before the final whistle of first half through Sirandeep Moran.

The tough contest continued in the second half also. In the 60th minute OIL took the lead when Sirandeep Moran sent the ball home after a brilliant overlap run and a cross by F Wary. ASEBSC got the equalizer in the 90th minute and the goal was scored by Akrang Narzary It was the fourth occasions when OILFC bagged the Bordoloi Trophy title. Sirandeep Moran of OILFC later received the ASJA best player of the final award.
