Raghab Moran Volleyball from today
Raghab Moran Volleyball Championship will begin at the Guwahati Volleyball Coaching Centre court at the Judges Field here tomorrow. Altogether 12 teams will take part in the 2-day meet.
GUWAHATI: Raghab Moran Volleyball Championship will begin at the Guwahati Volleyball Coaching Centre court at the Judges Field here tomorrow. Altogether 12 teams will take part in the 2-day meet.
Addressing a media gathering the general secretary of the All Moran Students Union Munin Duwara said that the inaugural function of the meet would be attended by former captain of Indian volleyball Team Abhijit Bhattacharyya and secretary of the Assam Olympic Association Lakhya Konwar.
He added: "Champion team will receive cash award Rs 30,000 while the award for runners up team is Rs 20,000."
Several top teams of the state including NF Railway, Assam Police, ONGC, 4th APBn, Bodosa Club, Guwahati Volleyball Coaching Centre, South Kamrup will participate in the championship.
The media briefing was also attended by the joint secretary of the Assam Volleyball Association Khanin Dutta and working president of Reception Committee Amba Saikia Patgiri.
