Rajasthan Royals to train at ACA Stadium in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: IPL Outfit Rajasthan Royals will do their maiden training session in Guwahati this month. The three-day camp is expected to start at the ACA stadium, Barsapara from February 27.

Guwahati is gearing up to host two matches of the forthcoming IPL which will kick off on March 29. Rajasthan Royals will play their two home games (April 5 and April 9) at the ACA Stadium, Barsapara if they receive necessary permission from the Rajasthan High court. However former champion has decided to use the infrastructure of Guwahati for their training purpose.

It is expected that team members of Rajasthan Royals will arrive in Guwahati on February 26 and will start their three-day training session from the next day at the ACA stadium, Barsapara. They have also planned to start their office in the city from the first part of March.

Meanwhile the COO of Indian Premier League Hemang Amin today visited the ACA stadium and also met with the officials of the Assam Cricket Association to discuss the matters on holding IPL matches in Guwahati.
