The First Rajen Barthakur memorial Intra District two-day Karate Do championship concluded here at the Indoor Stadium, Haleswar in Sonitpur District yesterday.

TEZPUR: The First Rajen Barthakur memorial Intra District two-day Karate Do championship concluded here at the Indoor Stadium, Haleswar in Sonitpur District yesterday. The competition was organized by Sonitpur District Karate Do Association, Tezpur. The chief guest present here in the closing ceremony was JitenBarthakur and MridulSarma President and Secretary of Sonitpur District Karate Do Association. More than 300 participants from different areas participated in this championship.
In the sub junior boys category, NishantNilabh Panda, in the sub junior girls category, SanchayitaSujanSarma, junior boys category RaktimSaikia, junior girls category RoslimaTopna, senior boys category PrasuryaGogoi and senior girls category, Queen devi begged the best karate award with 8 gold, 6 silver and 11 bronze medal
All the participants were full of praise of the tournament as they appraised the step taken by the concerned sports authorities and said the event would help in boosting the sporting skills of martial art players.
