Senior Bengal women defeat Assam by 8 wickets

GUWAHATI: Assam lost to Bengal by 8 wickets in the Senior Women One Day Cricket tournament at the VCA Kalamana Ground, Nagpur, here on Wednesday. Invited to bat, Assam were bowled out 116 in 50 overs. While Ruhina Pegu (26) and Priyanka Boruah (22) contributed with bat Saika Ishaque (4-13) came out with the best bowling figures for Bengal. Later Bengal took 31.5 overs to reach the target, losing two wickets. Mita Paul remained not out on 72.
