Sports organizations meet postponed in Assam

GUWAHATI: As a part of the precautionary measures several sports organizations in the state postponed their scheduled events for an indefinite period. Different training programme too badly affected because of same reason

The organizer of the All Assam Inter District Tennis Tournament, which was supposed to be held at Jorhat from April 3-5, already announced the postponement of the meet for an indefinite period.

A similar step was taken by the organizer of the Mr.Saraighat All India Classic Body Building Championship and Mr. Saraighat All Assam Body Building meet too. Both the competitions were supposed to be held in the city on April four.

Earlier the proposed visit of the U-16 Bangladesh Cricket Board team to Guwahati was also called off due to some reason.

Meanwhile, the Sports Authority of Assam has suspended all its training programme from today and it would be continued till March 29.
