BORDUMSA : The first ever football trials, selection and coaching in Arunachal's Changlang District by an organization of international repute Sudeva Delhi Academy commences here today at Nampong 's general playground.

The event being organized with the initiative of Changlang District Administration under the banner of Khelo India aims at promoting the cause of the budding footballer of the district under the male category of U-18 .

"The students of the government schools under age group of 17 from places including Nampong, Jairampur, Changlang Manmao, Kharsang, Miao, Bordumsa, Diyun and Innao would be conducted in the sessions," said Noah Mongku the District Sports Officer (DSO ) Changlang.

Uttam Singh the head coach Delhi Sudeva Football Club for U -15 segements and Ngaraipam Kasomwung of Sudeva Delhi FC the Assistant Coach for U-15 segments would monitor and conduct the trials on different parameters of sporting skills and physical status.

"We are expecting around 70 students on the ground from various government schools of Nampong who would undergo the session for two days' We are looking forward picking the right talents during the preliminary round from the entire district and subsequently select the two during the final rounds slated in Miao on 29th, " said Dr Devansh Yadav IAS the Deputy Commissioner Changlang.

'Two local footballing youths thus selected from the district during the process from would be further trained and equipped in Delhi based Sudeva Academy for a period of 12 months', said Dr Yadav.

"I am glad to see that the district admimistration is striving to promote sports activities across the belt aiming to produce professionals from the district who would be representing the state and the nation as well at the national and international arena in the days to come," said Somlung Mossang the Bordumsa MLA while wishing the organising body and the coaches for a smooth training and trial session. He was conveying his message through The Sentinel this evening over phone from Itanagar.

"We are all set to go smoothly, fields are ready, coaches already on the ground and players desperate to excel each other amidst the frequenting monsoon showers," informed the DSO.

"The duration of the selection trails and training might be longer enough while covering the entire 8 locations of the district but the entire session would be an enjoyable and interesting one for the aspiring footballers," said Uttam Singh the head coach Delhi Sudeva Football Club for U -15.

"The camp has lot many things to give, would benefit all the participants and at least they might grasp the actual fundamentals so that they are motivated for their future play".

The final selection episode would be held in Miao on 29 th and subsequently the names of the selected participants would be formally declared on or before April 6.
