This time want to play final: Reagan Singh
Our Sports Reporter
GUWAHATI: Last year his team NEUFC narrowly missed the final berth in ISL and the incident made him very upset. But this time Reagan Singh, the central defender of NEUFC who hails from Manipur, set one target and it is to take the team into the final. In a conversation with the local media during the pre-match press conference on Friday he also spoke on a few other areas of the game. Here is the conversation.
How is the team this year in comparison to last season?
Last year we had a very good side. You will possible agree that this year also we are very good outfit. Before the game against ATK we had played six matches in the tournament and no one was able to beat us.
NEUFC playing well but not getting the desired result this season...
Yes. I agree. We had played good soccer in earlier matches this season but didn’t able to win more number of games. As a team we are really doing well and hope we will record more wins in the coming games which will take us to the knock out stage.
NEUFC are playing under two different coaches for the last two seasons. Any major difference you have noticed in teams’ attitude?
Philosophy of two coaches may be different but both are really very good. Last year our coach guided us nicely and took us into the knock out stage. Present coach is also doing well. He is successful to make the team a unit.
Have you set any target this season?
I will try my best to contribute well and take the team into the final. Last season we have narrowly missed the final but this time I want to play the title clash.
