Tirkey to attend Closing Ceremony of ASJA’s Centenary Celebration

GUWAHATI: The Centenary Celebration of Sports Journalism in Assam is all set to come to an end on July 1 at a closing ceremony at DTRP Indoor Stadium in the city.

The Closing Ceremony of the yearlong celebrations will be graced by several achievers in sports, such as former India Hockey captain and president of Hockey India Dilip Tirkey, two Arjuna Awardee-lawn bowls player Nayan Moni Saikia and athlete Hima Das and some of the leading sports organizers of India along with a host of leading sports journalists of the country.

Marking the occasion the ASJA is also publishing a book on history of sports journalism in Assam.
