World Cup Qualifier: India, Oman to Arrive on September 2

GUWAHATI: India and Oman will arrive in Guwahati on September 2 to participate in the forthcoming World Cup qualifier. Guwahati will host the match on September 5 at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium and it will kick off at 7-30PM.

The president of the Assam Football Association Naba Kumar Doley today informed the media that both the teams would land Guwahati three-day before the match and are likely to start their practice session from September 3. He also expressed hope that two players from Assam-Holicharan Narzary and Vinit Rai- who are the part of the Indian probable, would be seen in action in Guwahati during the match day.

Meanwhile the Assam Football Association today announced the prices of the tickets for the forthcoming match. The capacity of the stadium is around 23 thousand and 15 thousand of them would go for sale. The remaining tickets would be reserved for the former national and international players and others. Doley said, “There would be three types of tickets for the spectators and prices of them are Rs 200, Rs 100 and Rs 50 (for student). The sale of the tickets already started on a line from today. Two counters will also open at Sarusajai Sports complex and Nehru stadium.”

Apart from Doley, the media briefing was also attended by the secretary Hemendra Nath Brahma and a few other officials of the Assam Football Association.
