According to a press release issued by the PRO and spokesperson of the Ministry of Defence, the operations were carried out in Bishnupur, Churachandpur, Thoubal, Imphal West, and Imphal East districts based on specific intelligence inputs.
The joint operations led to the seizure of:
69 weapons, including looted service firearms and country-made arms,
16 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs),
Grenades, ammunition, radio sets, and other war-like stores.
The Ministry further stated that the recovered materials included explosives capable of causing mass casualties.
Key recoveries were made from forested and high-risk zones such as Dampi Ridge, Tollen, and K Geljang in Churachandpur, along with several locations in Imphal East and West. Notably, self-styled leaders of banned insurgent groups like KCP, PREPAK, KYKL, and UNLF-P were among those apprehended.
