Manipur and Arunachal have a rich culture and heritage: Manipur CM N Biren Singh

Chief Minister of Manipur N Biren Singh when attending as the Chief Guest at the 52nd Central Solung Celebration of the Adi Community, at Giidi-Notko, Pasighat of Arunachal Pradesh, demanded promoting and strengthening ties between Manipur and Arunachal and rest of North East altogether via promotion of cultural exchanges.

He observed that Arunachal and Manipur have a rich culture and heritage exhibited in the festivals, dances, and songs and of the various tribes and communities, which are the symbol of spirit that signifies unity in diversity.

He expected participation of cultural troupe from Arunachal in the upcoming Sangai Festival in Manipur and cordially invited the Chief Minister of Arunachal and his team.

According to the Manipur Chief Minister Arunachal Pradesh is one of the fastest growing states of the country in respect of development and performance. He praised Arunachal CM Pema Khandu for his sincere commitment, authenticity and hard work for the development of the state. He by giving example said Arunachal in the two years has taken big step towards development and for a state like Manipur it would be difficult to attain that pace of development. The Manipur CM on this occasion released the Solung Souvenir.

Arunachal CM Pema Khandu in his speech thanked Manipur CM and Dy Speaker K. Robindro Singh and MLAs and Guests from Manipur for took part in the Solung festival of the Adi Community.

He congratulated Manipur CM on is maiden visit to the State on occasion of the Solung Festival. He added that they must continue such efforts for strengthening the ties of the sister states of Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh encompassing various sectors.

Stressing Government's commitment Khandu said Government of India will be investing a lot for the development of Pasighat as Smart City.

He asked for proper planning to accomplish the goal of truly Smart City in a particular period of time. He reiterated that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, major incomplete works like ALG has been completed and many infrastructural along with other developmental proposals in health, connectivity, and various sectors are under progress.

The CM besides called Adi Community as one of the most progressive tribes of the state as well as educationally advanced. The CM in his speech also condemned the Bandh Culture, which according to him was already creating lots of hardships for the people, destructions of public properties and loss of precious lives due to emergency patients failed to get medical care due to Bandh.
