Imphal: A powerful bomb exploded on the premises of a school in the capital city of Manipur on Sunday.
According to reports, it has come to the fore that the blast took place at 3:10 AM due to which some portions of the school building were damaged.
However, no casualty was reported.
So far, no arrest has been made in connection with the blast and police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Every week the state is witnessing a blast, however, it is for the first time that a blast took place near the school.
Taking the cognisance of the several blasts in the recent days, Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh had convened a meeting on Saturday to review the increasing bomb attacks in many parts of the state.
However, what measures were suggested were not disclosed.
