A very dangerous fight took place between workers and supporters of some political parties in the Imphal East district of Manipur due to gun firings. The clash occurred on 11 October, Monday in a nearby location of a public meeting organized in Manipur by the two leaders of BJP to discuss certain political issues.

The wild clash has led to the injuries of 5 people and one of the injured persons according to reports has been identified as Abdul Malik who is suffering being in a very critical condition as he sustained bullets when fired by the workers of BJP. The workers made face to face arguments and discussions for a while with full of aggression but the fight turn out to be worst and deadly because of the gun firing used by the workers of the two leaders involved in the clash. The fight was mainly between the followers of the two very famous leaders of the ruling party BJP and they are namely T Shyamkumar and L Sanjoy.

The Manipur Speaker in the year 2020 disqualified Shyamkumar, a BJP leader as a member of the Assembly for defection as he was a former MLA from the Andro Assembly constituency who won Manipur election 2017 because of ticket of Congress. While BJP leader L Sanjoy is assumed as a BJP candidate for the Manipur Assembly Elections to be held in 2022.

The meeting which was held by the political parties in the view to bring positive solutions to turn out to be the dangerous one because of the presence of the workers and supporters. The followers of political parties always play a major role in bringing victory or loss to any political leader and also in creating clash through aggressive behaviour among the people resulting in violence and injuries.
