
IMPHAL: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh engaged with the residents of Khangabok in Thoubal District during a public interaction programme held at Khangabok Maisnam Leikai, UYC Ground today. The event was attended by key figures including Power Minister Th. Biswajit Singh, Health Minister Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh, CAF & PD Minister L. Susindro Meitei, and MLAs Sapam Kunjakewor, Thongam Shanti, Khongbantabam Ibomcha, and Md. Abdul Nasir, among others.
Upon arrival, the CM and his colleagues were warmly welcomed by local students and residents. In the meeting, CM Biren Singh said that people in the state are starting to understand the main causes of the crisis. He also hoped the state would soon return to peace and normalcy. He also assured that the government would continue to protect the unity of the region and would oppose any attempts by groups trying to divide the state. He emphasized that no community had been targeted.
The Chief Minister listened to the concerns and requests of the public and announced development projects for Khangabok. Rs. 50 lakhs will be given to set up water pumps at four important paddy fields: Louhonbi Loukon, Keipha Loukon, Kiyam Loukon, and Tentharam Loukon. He also promised to build an open gym in the area.
The Chief Minister announced projects to improve Ikop Pat and clean Loukhong Pat, with Rs. 1.2 crore for each. The event was attended by local leaders, Self Help Groups, Village Volunteers, and the public.
