Manipur Government Transfers 70 IAS, IPS Officers in Major Administrative Reshuffle

IMPHAL: The Manipur government, in a major bureaucratic reshuffle, transferred 70 IAS, IRS, IFS, and Manipur Civil Service officers across various districts. A notification in this regard has been issued by Manipur Chief Secretary Prashant Kumar Singh.

As per the order, Thoubal Superintendent of Police (SP) Rakesh Balwal has been transferred as SP of Imphal East. Senapati SP Anupam has also been transferred, and Shivanand Surve, who was previously the SP of Chandel, has been appointed as the new SP of Senapati.

In Churachandpur, SP Sheikh Mohd Zaib Zakir has been replaced by Prakhar Pandey. Meanwhile, S. Ibomcha Singh has been appointed as the new SP of Thoubal. Luikham Lanmiyo, who is the in-charge SP of Tamenglong, has been given additional responsibility for Chandel district.

The reshuffle also includes significant changes in the district administration. Chandel Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mayanglambam Rajkumar has been transferred as DC of Imphal West. L. Nandakumar Singh has been appointed as the new DC of Chandel.

In another major change, DC Ukhrul Kengoo Zuringla has been transferred, and Pherzawl DC Ashish Das has been appointed as the new DC of Ukhrul. Meanwhile, Mannu Amching has been appointed as the new DC of Pherzawl. The large-scale administrative reshuffle aims to strengthen governance and improve law and order across the state.
