
IMPHAL: As the situation in the State remained tense but under control as security forces continued search operations to maintain law and order in Manipur.
In the past 24 hours, security forces facilitated the movement of 181 vehicles along NH-37 and 30 vehicles along NH-2, carrying essential items. Strict security measures were implemented at vulnerable locations, and security convoys were deployed along sensitive stretches to ensure the free and safe passage of vehicles.
Over the past 24 hours, a joint team comprising State Police and Central Forces carried out search operations and area domination in the fringe and vulnerable regions across both the hill and valley districts of Manipur.
The police urged the general public to refrain from believing rumors and to stay cautious of false videos. They also called on the public to promptly return any looted arms, ammunition, and explosives to the police or the nearest security forces.
Meanwhile, security forces conducted search operations in the fringe and vulnerable areas of hill and valley districts of Manipur, ensuring the Meghalayasafe and free movement of vehicles in the region.
In a post on X, Manipur police said, “Search operations and area domination were conducted by security forces in the fringe and vulnerable areas of hill and valley districts.”
“Movement of 177 and 241 vehicles carrying essential items along NH-37 and NH-2 respectively was ensured. Strict security measures were taken up in all vulnerable locations, and security convoys were provided in sensitive stretches to ensure free and safe movement of the vehicles,” it added.
