Imphal: In a unique way, the administration of Manipur's Imphal West has organized a mega Covid vaccination camp with gifts.

The officials has started this initiative with a slogan 'Get a shot and win a prize'.

The officials have said that this mega camp is going to be taken place from October 24, October 31 and on November 07 at three districts of the state.

The three centres are- GM mall, Pologround and Thangal Bazar, Dharamshala vaccination centres.

District Commissioner, Imphal West district, Kiran Kumar, said, "To increase the vaccinated population the Imphal west district administration to organize a mega vaccination camp cum bumper draw at three centres on October 24, October 31 and November 7."

A fresh set of Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs) have been released by the Manipur government in a new notification regarding COVID-19 guidelines. The new SOPs will remain in effect till October 21. The Manipur government have now revised the timings of curfew and have provided other necessary relaxations, to the relief of the citizens of Manipur. As per the latest SOPs, the curfew will now begin at 8:30 pm and will come to an end at 4 am.

The public can attend social gatherings provided strict COVID-19 appropriate behaviour is maintained by the host/organiser. Religious activities can take place with 50% seating capacity while maintaining strict COVID-19 guidelines such as wearing of masks and maintaining social distance among devotees present in the religious sites. The offices of all secretariat departments, State Government and Central Government can return to normal functioning through virtual mode or physical attendance of all employees by taking adequate precautions.
