Suspected Militants Attacks Assam Rifles Post in Manipur

An Assam Rifles post in Manipur's Chandel district has been attacked by unidentified militants on Wednesday. No news of casualty is received so far. Assam Rifles post located at Aigijang village near Sajit Tampak was attacked by the militants.

As an immediate reply to the militant attack, the Assam Rifles personnel fired back at the militants and it showed a few minutes of continuous firing between both the parties. This followed by the militants escaping from the situation through the thick jungle.

On being informed about the attack, more security forces had rushed to the spot and search operations
