Two Bomb Blasts Within 12 Hours Rock Manipur

Imphal: A two-bomb blast within 12 hours on Thursday and Friday rocked Manipur's Imphal city.

According to reports, the first bomb exploded around 3:30 AM at the premises of a residential house that belong to one executive engineer identified as RK Virendra located at Khurai Thoidingjam Leikai.

The explosive is suspected to be an IED and it damages three cars parked nearby.

Since the blast occurred in the early morning; fortunately, no causalities have been reported.

After receiving the information of the same, a police team with the forensic department rushed to the spot to investigate the matter.

On Thursday too, another bomb blast was reported which occurred at the Nagamapal Lamabam Leikai area in Manipur's Imphal West district.

However, in this blast also, there wasn't any casualty.

Reportedly, miffed over the two bomb blasts within 24 hours, the people protested.
