United Committee Manipur staged Mass Rally in Imphal demanding Disclosure of 'Naga Framework'

Imphal: Demanding to protect the unity and integrity of the state in the light of the purported threat posed to the territorial integrity of Manipur owing to the Framework Agreement signed between the Government of India and NSCN (IM), the United Committee Manipur (UCM), which is the conglomeration of different valley based civil bodies of state today staged a mass rally in Imphal today.

The rally which was participated by thousands of people which is one of the largest participation of people from all over the state passed through different main roads of Imphal and culminated at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex in Imphal East.

The mass rally was followed by a public meeting. The participants at the rally carried banners and chanted slogans demanding to safeguard the integrity of the state Manipur.

They also demanded to disclose the framework agreement which has been signed between Government of India and NSCN (IM).

It may also be mentioned that the 12-hour bandh call by United Naga Council, in “Naga areas” has greatly affected normal lives in Hill district today.
