Guwahati: Two staff members of Governor's House (Raj Bhavan) in Kohima, Nagaland, tested positive for the dreaded Covid-19 on Wednesday, August 5, officials confirmed. 

The Twitter handle of the Raj Bhavan, Kohima put out a notification on Wednesday informing about the detection of the virus among its staffers. The notification further said that the rest of the members were subjected to testing and tested negative. The Standard Operating Protocol (SOP) for Covid-19 is in place, it informed.

Later, another tweet sent out from the official handle of the Raj Bhavan informed that none of the others in the premises had tested positive for the contagion.

It has become known that the infected duo has been shifted to Covid Care Centre in Kohima for further treatment.

According to the daily Nagaland Covid-19 bulletin issued by the Additional Director, Dr. Denis Hangsing on Tuesday, August 4, the confirmed total of Covid-19 positive cases in Kohima district is 534. Out of these, 147 patients have recovered from the virus, while a single patient has migrated. Officials have confirmed that 386 Covid-19 patients are presently undergoing treatment at Kohima district.
